Rules of combat

What counts as a rep
- Put your phone on the floor in front of you with the front camera facing you.
- The camera must see your whole upper body, arms and hips.
- Lower until your elbows bend to about 90 degrees, then push back up until your arms are straight.
- Keep your body straight from shoulders to hips. Sagging or piking doesn't count.
- If the screen turns red, the camera has lost you. Reps don't count until it sees you again.
Ranked battles
A ranked battle lasts 30 seconds. Whoever does more valid reps wins. Equal reps is a draw. Matchmaking looks for an opponent near your rating and widens the search the longer you wait.
Placement
Your first 5 ranked battles are placement battles. Until you finish them you are Unranked. After the fifth, the game reveals your starting tier.
Rating and tiers
- Wins raise your rating and losses lower it. Beating a stronger opponent earns more.
- A bigger winning margin earns a small bonus.
- Your rating sets your tier, from Bronze up to Fury.
- Reaching a tier above Bronze gives you 2 shields. A shield stops one loss from dropping you a tier.
- Winning against the same opponent more than 3 times in a day earns less rating.
- Fury players who don't play ranked for 7 days lose 25 rating a day, never below the Fury floor.
Leaving a battle
Forfeiting counts as a loss. If you lose connection, you have 10 seconds to come back before the battle counts as a loss.
Friend battles
Battles against a friend through a link or a challenge can be 30, 60 or 90 seconds long. They are unranked: your rating doesn't change, but your reps still earn FP.
FP
- 1 FP per rep, up to 300 rep FP a day.
- 20 FP for finishing a ranked battle, plus 30 more for winning.
- 15 FP for finishing a training session.
- More for daily missions, streaks, Arena Road and ranking up.
Streaks
Any battle or training session keeps your streak going for the day. Days follow your local time zone.
